FRENCH PINBALL CHAMPIONSHIP
This tournament will be held on Saturday 20th of March 2010 during the Flip-Expo Show.
The play offs will take place from 10Am to 4Pm
The final will take place from 4.30Pm to 7.30Pm
This tournament is part of the IFPA.
What is the “Championnat de France Open de Flipper”?
This is a “family mode” type tournament open to anyone at any level. This is an “open type” tournament that means that you don’t have to be French to participate to the tournament it is open to any nationality.
The entry fee is 10 Euros
First price: A dot matrix pinball machine + a trophy + a “gold” medal
A trophy + a medal for the first French player
A trophy + a medal for the first women
A trophy + a medal for the first ‘european’
A trophy + a medal for the youngest player(minus than 12)
GAMES
On which games will you be playing??? Sorry we cannot divulgate this information. The only information we can give you is that the pinball machines will be from various games generation…
Outlines rules
You can go to the registration point from 10Am to 2.30Pm. We will give you a scoring sheet where you will report your score (a referee will check and validate your score after each game) and a Joker.
Qualifying
Players will choose 4 different games from the pinballs dedicated to the tournament. You have to play a single game on each chosen pinball. Report your score on the sheet of paper and ask a referee to double-check your score and to validate it. The scores will be displayed on a screen. You can play your games until 4Pm.
This is your responsibility to play your games during the dedicated period of time.
When you played all your 4 games, you can use your ‘joker’ to play another game if you are not happy about a score you did.
The first 16 players will be qualified for the play offs.
PLAY OFF
16 players
Two pinballs will be randomly selected.
The players will play a game on each pinball the first eight players will be qualified for the next round.
8 players
One pinball will be randomly selected.
Two groups of 4 players will be created.
Players will play a game on each pinball. The first and the second players of each group will be selected for the final.
The Final (4 players)
The final will be played on a randomly selected pinball the best of the four players will be the winner of the tournament.
Groups of players are randomly created (4 players maximum per group) and affected to a randomly selected pinball machine. A victory gives one point, 0 point for the other players. The first player with 2 points (2 victories) is selected for the next round.
For the second round, the maximum number of players is 32.
The groups of players are composed of 2 players affected to a pinball machine. This is a head to head game where the winner is the first with 2 victories.
The third round is with 16 players
The fourth with 8 players
The fifth with 4 players
The final between two players.
